Diem Chau does some amazing ceramic work that incorporates silk thread. Chau embroiders into a thin fabric and the unwoven thread is made to interact in some way with her ceramic vessels. I liked the disjunction in textures between the smooth glazed clay and the soft, highly textured fabric.
