Haruki Murakami is an author whose writing you either love or hate. He has a cerebral approach to his novels, one that is more concerned with psychology than plot lines. Personally, I am a fan. I like his economical style, his complicated depressed characters and the fact that he has the guts to leave a novel open-ended.
Norwegian Wood is his most commercially successful novel. You can imagine my excitement when I came across this illustrated book cover by one of my favourite illustrators Lizzy Stewart for the novel. Isn’t it splendid?
