I saw this illustration of the character of Lady Mary from the tv series Downton Abbey on All the Mountains blog and I was immediately intrigued. Not only do I love the show (its like a period soap opera but with great styling and cinematography) but I also love the style of illustration and hand draw type.
Kelsey Garrity-Riley is the talented lady behind the illustration. She spent her childhood traveling between Belgium, Germany and the USA. She studied illustration at the Savannah College of Art & Design and I thought I’d share some more of her beautiful work with you.
These illustrations are beautiful and the one of Mary makes me think how much I miss Downton Abbey (and all their wardrobe)
