I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy a variety of tree houses over the course of my childhood. Most were no better than a few planks of wood, but I remember spending countless hours in them playing out different imaginative scenarios.
Recently I stumbled across photographs of the Krazy Kat Club, a speakeasy during the prohibition era where bohemian writers, musicians and academics used to hang out. A tree house for adults! What a great idea. When we have a home of our own, I’m definitely proposing a tree top sanctuary like this.
