I love Resort collections, they have just the right amount of embellishment but are not unwearable like some haute couture collections. I was going through the Pre-Spring Resort collections on Fashionising and thought I’d round up some of my favourites.
Bright colours and prints from Issey Miyake.
Carven can do no wrong in my eyes. Their collections always have impeccable tailoring and use structure in such flattering yet interesting ways. Look at all these lovely jackets!
I know this collection has been blogged ad nauseum, but the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection is far too wonderful not to mention.
Karen Walker’s collection is feminine in all the right ways, featuring elegant prints and nautical details.
House of Holland’s collection accentuates preppy tailoring with their pleated skirts, football-style jumpers and bold stripes.
I’d never heard of Sea before, but I really liked how their collection is cohesive, fashionable and wearable at the same time.
The Temperley London collection channels Grace Kelly’s timeless style but adds modern accents like tailored crop pants. I can imagine Lana del Rey wearing this collection.
J Mendel is the master of accentuating the best parts of a woman’s body, which he does effortlessly in these form conscious creations.
Trust Alexander McQueen to bring baroque opulence to the Resort collections, with their beautifully detailed monochrome and metallic pieces.

Such a top selection – can never wade through the collections, it’s too overwhelming! So, thank you.
