John Malta

John Malta lives and works in New York city. He is currently completing his MFA at the School of Visual Arts.

“Malta transforms the simplicities of his daily life and past memories of murky Ohio creeks, house punk shows, and pet lizards into Super Nintendo nightmares: the wildly colorful yet dingy expressions of another reality.”

Kirsten Rothbart

Kirsten Rothbart is a talented German illustrator currently studying Comic Art and Illustration at the School of Art and Design in Kassel.

The little town of Kassel is rather close to my heart because I went there with a group of friends a couple of years ago to see the Documenta exhibition. We camped in a campsite filled with cherry trees. It was magical.

Moonlight, Wolf

A rather ominous-looking wolf for this Wednesday painted by American artist Frederic Remington (1861-1909) in the year of his death. The painting is titled: “Moonlight, Wolf”.

Aviatrix

I know I’m overdoing it on the fashion-related posts this week. But when I saw this post on the lovely blog Honey Kennedy, I couldn’t resist sharing.

Colenimo‘s latest autumn/winter collection titled “Aviatrix” is inspired by female pilots of the early 20th Century. I really love the colour palette of the range. It has great details (the collars are quite splendid) and beautifully tailored pants, I’m sold on pretty much everything.
