La Petite Bretagne

Riverside School 1976-1978
George Plemmer worked as a science teacher at Riverside School, Thamesmead between 1976 and 1978. During his time there he documented the students and teachers. The images are so evocative and beautifully shot. Look at the entire flickr set here.

I found this photo on The Streethearts website. This lady is called Madeleine. Her Russian-inspired hat, doll-like make up, and wispy hair, makes her look like a lovely matreshka. She was photographed in London by Andreas Schjonhaug.
Brick lane friend
This little guy sits on my bathroom window sill. I bought him when I was in London two years ago from a little store in Brick Lane. He has such a maudlin expression but I love him regardless.
