National Library of Ireland

I stumbled across the flickr account of the National Library of Ireland, which has :

“the largest collection of Irish printed, manuscript, and visual material in the world, and our collections span almost 1,000 years of Irish art, culture, history and literature.”

It is a wealth of archival photography and historical documentation – I highly recommend a visit. Here are a few images I particularly liked.

  1. Those are awesome – thanks again for sharing.

I’m sure those pillbox hats really struck fear into the hearts of the enemy : )
And I wonder what the USDA would say about all those carcasses…..
