Recently I’ve been appreciating ceramics which employ more figurative or illustrative details, so I thought I’d share some of them with you.
The Cobalt Blue Series by Carolyn Genders.
Awesome ceramic sausage dogs by Kaye Blegvad.
Ceramic vessels from The Awesome Project.
A work from the series Patterns & Colors by Swiss designer Dimitri Bähler.
Plates by London-based illustrator Charlotte Mei.
Illustrated tile series of wild animals by Laura Carlin.
A whimsical series of dogs in ceramic cups by Eleonor Boström.
Cat ceramics by Miriam Brugmann.
(Longtime lurker here) Loved the animal tiles! The ceramic sausage dogs reminded me of a project by a local –Dominican Republic– workshop called Colectivo Ramona: they did some colorful cement flower pots inspired by street dogs. Here are some pics. http://ramonacolectivo.blogspot.com/p/productos.html
Speaking of illustrated ceramics, Leah Goren + Casa Abril also produce amazing work:
