Overgrowth

Overgrowth is a creative partnership between floral designer Riley Messina and photographer Parker Fitzgerald.

“Inspired by a pursuit of beauty, Riley combines classically thoughtful botanical designs with Parker’s carefully considered film images in an expression of the multifaceted relationship between humankind and nature. The two artists contrast anonymous portraiture with sweeping landscapes in an attempt to capture both the malleable and untamed aspects of the natural world.”

The Overgrowth exhibition and floral workshops begins its tour of Japan tomorrow.

Here are some floral arrangements they collaborated on for the Japan issue of Kinfolk Magazine, using the traditional Japanese form of flower arranging called Ikebana.

  1. Amazing blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers?

I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little
lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform
like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely confused
    .. Any ideas? Appreciate it!
