Bon Sauvage

Spanish fashion label, Le Casita de Wendy, recently released their Spring 2014 collection, which is a riot of bright colours and bold prints. The collection takes inspiration from philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau‘s notion of the “noble savage”. To put it very simplistically – the concept describes the ideal and purest form of man, who is unsullied by the corruption that society brings. The collection draws from the iconography of various tribal cultures and their relationship to nature, which is supported by Ana Sender‘s original textile designs.
