The last few weeks have been somewhat of a whirlwind – I travelled to Johannesburg and back to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday, made a lot of cake and party decorations, caught up with friends and family, visited some cool places that have popped up in the city while I was away, as well as slipping in some work whenever I could (three cheers for being a freelancer!). Needless to say, there has been little time to blog, but now that I am back in Cape Town, you can expect more frequent posting. I thought a round up of nice things, that I haven’t had time to blog about, was the most fitting way to kick things off again. So let’s get going…
A Russian-esque fashion editorial titled Winter Princess, for the December 2013 issue of Japanese Vogue, modelled by Lindsey Wixson and photographed by Emma Summerton. The shoot was styled by Giovanna Battaglia, with make-up by Mathias van Hooff and hair by Neil Moodie.
A lovely textile 2014 calendar from Bookhou at Home.
South African artist Nic Bladen recently exhibited at The Everard Read Gallery in Cape Town. The show – Peninsula – featured delicate bronze and metal sculptures of indigenous plants.
This collage by Kaye Blegvad is all kinds of awesome and amazing.
This chocolate fondant looks delicious. It was made by Kristy, the talented food stylist and cook behind the blog Food Monger.

An elegant corporate identity by Say What Studio.
Some beautiful wedding dresses by Delphine Manivet featured on the French Vogue website.
Speaking of weddings… the wedding of Diana and her beau Anton, was truly one of the most beautiful and heartfelt weddings I have seen in a long time. Congratulations Diana and Anton! Here are some pictures of the day by talented local photographers Love Made Visible.
Love love love ! Look forward to more !
