Joanne Nam is a Korean artist based in Los Angeles, whose paintings and illustration have a decidedly contemplative and melancholic atmosphere. In her compositions, often beautiful young women pose awkwardly in darkened landscapes. Nam is a self-professed horror film fan, so this could have a little something to do with the eerie atmosphere that she is able to create.
